IN CHARACTER
CHARACTER NAME: Regis ( Emiel Regis Rohellec Terzieff-Godefroy )
CHARACTER AGE: 440+
CHARACTER CANON: Timeline ( wiki ), Regis ( wiki )
CANON POINT: Post! The Witcher 3: Blood & Wine; the ending he comes from is the one where Syanna was killed, and he ended Detlaff's life.
ABILITIES:
Higher Vampire Powers
— True immortality, where they cannot be killed save by another Higher Vampire. Felling one by might or magic means the HV will enter a comatose/dormant state until healed, which can take decades if not assisted by the blood of another HV. Their regeneration is strong enough to recover from catastrophic wounds in seconds, if not minutes.
— Inhuman strength, speed, reflexes and senses.
— Shapeshifting abilities. A HV cannot be detected by a Witcher's medallion, and they maintain a form nigh-indistinguishable from other humans. They also possess the ability to partially shift ( growing bat-like features, teeth and elongated claws ) and complete shift ( monsterfuckers rejoice ) their forms.
— Traditional skills such as hypnosis, illusion, invisibility and near-total immunity or magic and traditional vampire weaknesses ( silver, garlic, Black Blood ), including the requirement to feed on blood ( unnecessary, it's like having alcohol ). Fire does cause extensive damage, however.
Scholarship & Medicine
— Trained physician and surgeon with mastery of anatomy, herbalism, and alchemy.
— Highly educated in philosophy, history, languages, and culture.
Philosophical & Moral Insight
— Deep thinker with strong willpower, spiritual resilience, and a reflective worldview.
— Offers guidance, debate, and ethical consideration in contrast to his monstrous nature.
Mundane Hobbies & Habits
— Winemaking, gardening, and cultivating herbs.
— Enjoys conversation, travel, and living a disciplined, sober life. :)

SURVEY
WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S SOCIOECONOMIC BACKGROUND? WHAT IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO WEALTH?:
As a Higher Vampire, he exists outside traditional human class structures. He neither ages nor requires food, shelter, or coin to survive, making him largely indifferent to the socioeconomic concerns that define mortal lives. In his younger centuries, he embraced a hedonistic and wasteful lifestyle: drinking, indulging, and pursuing excess without care for consequence. Wealth and resources were tools for pleasure, and he often relied on manipulation or opportunity to sustain his debauchery.
After his transformation into sobriety and self-discipline, Regis’s relationship to wealth became one of detachment. He no longer pursues luxury or accumulation, instead favoring simplicity, sustainability, and intellectual or spiritual pursuits. While capable of engaging with money through medicine, alchemy, or winemaking, he treats it only as a practical necessity to interact with human society. Wealth holds no true power over him, and he often views mortal greed and obsession with money with both irony and philosophical distance.
WHAT WOULD/DID YOUR CHARACTER MAJOR IN?:
Medical Sciences (MD track), with a strong focus on surgery (internal medicine or hemotology)! In the Witcher series, he's a barber-surgeon.
WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO YOUR CHARACTER?:
The most interesting thing to happen to him during his long life, would be his death/resurrection. Centuries ago, Regis was torn apart by a mob of peasants, hacked into pieces, and buried separately to ensure he could never return. For most beings, this would have been the end. But as a Higher Vampire, his body slowly, agonizingly reconstituted itself over decades. This harrowing experience not only returned him to life but profoundly changed him. He abandoned his former reckless, indulgent lifestyle and embraced sobriety, self-discipline, and a reflective philosophy.
DESCRIBE YOUR CHARACTER USING ONE SONG FROM THE EARLY 2000S:
“How to Save a Life” – The Fray (2005)
NAME 1-3 VICES YOUR CHARACTER INDULGES IN:
Winecraft, philosophy and socializing.
WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER'S LIQUOR OF CHOICE?:
Mandrake moonshine. :)
HOW DOES YOUR CHARACTER LIKE THEIR EGGS?:
Soft-boiled! No unnecessary fuss.
IF YOUR CHARACTER HAD TO DRINK SOMEONE'S DIRTY BATHWATER, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?:
Probably Dandelion, because it'd be the funniest option. He's used to the grotesque and can easily deal with discomfort due to his age/experience, and Dandelion's response would result in the most mirth/least harm or insult. lmao
